Ya'll learn here on this page, 'bout Kris's family!!......... Ya'll meet his lovely wife Lisa. Ya'll will meet their son Austin Blaine. Born 5-22-02. Ya'll learn what they enjoy doin,' in their free time! That is, when they find it!!
Kris Austin, was born one week to the day, before Christmas, in 1974. Boy, was he EVER a "hard one" to get born!! A shy little man, was he!!
He started playin' basketball in first grade. In his first game ever, he made three two-point baskets. Was he, his dad and mom ever proud! He continued the sport through his grade school years. Kris played on his school's 7th and 8th grade basketball squad, and continued to play and was a "starter" for the Pleasant Hope Pirates, his high school team. Kris' position was guard. Kris received MANY letters for playin' basketball for all those years!!
Beginnin' of his fifth grade, Kris started playin' the trumpet. He was always competin' with "a GIRL," for first chair!
At the beginin' of his sixth grade, Kris decided to play "the drums" like his brother, Larry. He continued to play until his junior year of high school. Said, he'd had enough of marchin' in all them parades and wanted to devote his time and efforts to "sports".
While he was in band, he did achieve many letters, for his playin' trumpet and drums.
Kris was, and still is an athletic guy! During his high school years, he also ran track. He was a "cross country" runner. He achieved many medals, for his *1st Place* status.
Kris married a darlin' of a young woman named Lisa on December 3, 1999, in Hawaii. December 2010, they will celebrate their 11th Weddin' Anniversary.
On May 22, 2002, God blessed them with a "bundle of joy". A handsome little boy, Austin Blaine. He celebrated his 7th birthday in May 2009. Austin is in the first grage and attends Pleasant Hope Elementary. The family moved back to Kris's ole stompin' grounds as a youngster, so Austin is attendin' his dad's school he attended. He even gets to ride his "PawPaw Larry's" school bus with some of his cousins. Austin tells me he loves school, and it helps to have some familiar faces ridin' the bus and at new school. I'll try and have some updated pictures of Austin on soon!! We sure need 'em!!
Kris works for Fed Ex and referee some at basketball games in and 'round the Springfield, MO area.
Kris loves to play golf, and any kind of participation sports. Ya can't take that "competition," very easily from the athelete!
Kris is interested in Nascar racin'. His favorite driver is Kevin Harvick (# 29). He DOES LIKE Dale Jr. too!!
 
Lisa attended Hillcrest High School in Springfield, MO. Lisa is takin' classes in her college education, to become a Registered Nurse at the renamed Missouri State University, MSU (formally Southwest Missouri State University, SMSU). Then, she'll be goin' onto St John's School of Nursin' in Springfield, MO.
There's more glow in Lisa and Kris' faces nowadays. They are gonna be parents again, 'round the first week in April 2010, a little girl!! GOD has blessed them with a beautiful family!! Austin tells me he is willin' to share the light, as he is so excited at bein' a brother to his little sister in April. Kris and Lisa are wonderful Christian parents to their son Austin and will be to their new daughter!!
Lisa works in the Pharmacy Dept., at Dillion's; in Springfield, MO.
Lisa enjoys collectin' dolphins and lighthouses.
Her parents Jim & Karen are wonderful people! Jim is a minister, in Fair Grove, MO.
