Nov 1988 - Mar 25, 2000
This is my beloved Mr Clarence "Garfield". He crossed my path, for 13½ years. He graduated to just this side of the "Rainbow Bridge" to his reward March 25, 2000.

Dec 1991 - May 2004
Mr. Bear left 'our world' to be just this side of the bridge that connects Heaven and Earth, May 5, 2004. I had him for 11 years (he was 2 when I got him). He's was a german sheperd/chow mix. He's now rompin' and playin' all day with his long-time kitty pal, Clarence Garfield.

Apr 1999 - Winter 2005
This was our "Annie Oakley". She was such a kind lovin', and the sweetest desposition cat! She had a few kittens through the years! She would have turned 9 years old last April. Annie had been dumped on us as a kitten of 3-4 weeks old. I had named her after one of my cowgirl favorites, Annie Oakley!!

We love you Annie!! May God watch over ya 'til Buffalo Jim and I see ya again!

Unknown - Nov 10, 2006
Miss Sassy passed away November 10, 2006. She graduated to kitty heaven and was greeted by many other kitties. We think she must have been older than we thought, for we really didn't know how old she was! She had a healthy and lovin' life with us. Bless her sweet heart! It looked like she passed in her sleep with no pain. We thought she was just sleepin', and for a little while, we didn't realize she was gone.

She was a beautiful Himalayan (brown seal-point) who was left on the streets of Springfield, MO, by former owners. After 3 months, Buffalo Jim & Buffalo Gal rescued her in the early spring of 2000. She leaves behind many friends and family that loved her so, as she was 'laid back' and so cool. Nothin' seemed to ever bother her. She was a prissy cat and was always groomin' herself to make sure she didn't have a dirty or messy coat. She liked to look her best and she knew she was the feline "Queen of the House". She had a quiet "Meow" and was SO LOVIN'!! She will be terribly missed!! Everyone who met her thought she was so gorgeous and had a special and unique way 'bout her. We love ya much princess!! Dear Lord, please watch out for her and keep her safe 'til Buffalo Jim and I get there! We'll never forget ya "Sweet Sassy"!!

Spring 2005 - Sep 17, 2007
This was our Mr. No-Toes. Bless his big heart, as he had a hard life from the beginnin'. He was born the spring of 2005, right on our front porch deck, in one of our cushioned chairs. We knew his mama was deliverin' her litter, so we didn't bother her. After she was finished, we noticed that his back paws were tangled up in all the umbilical cords and it was too late to free them. The pad part of his back paws had lost circulation and they had fallen off, away from his paws. Bless his sweet heart. Buffalo Jim and I should have been out there makin' sure everything was goin' alright with the delivery. We never dreamed this little ball of fur would make it, but No-Toes lived for 2½ years. You should have seen him move. He had his own unique way of gettin' around.

We thought two of our neighbor's dogs had gotten ahold of him. Buffalo Jim eased him very carefully into the carrier and got him to our vet. After examinin' him, Bruce told Buffalo Jim he had a rare disease and Mr. No-Toes was dying and in pain. His heartbeat was very weak. Well, Buffalo Jim didn't want Mr. No-Toes to suffer any longer, so he made the decision to put him to sleep. That was September 17, 2007.

We buried him out in our pet cemetary located in our "Happy Trails Garden". We sure will miss him very much!! He was the last of his sibling-litter to still be alive. The others had gotten killed by the neighbor's dogs.

Dear Lord, please keep an eye out for Mr. No-Toes til Buffalo Jim and I are reunited with him again; with all paws anew.

Jul 1993 - Oct 17, 2008
We lost our dear Misty Blue on October 17, 2008. She was 15 years 3 months when she reached the Rainbow Bridge. Buffalo Jim had had her since she was a wee kitten. She gave him lots of love and companionship before I came into the picture. When Buffalo Jim and I were married, Misty Blue inherited a mama, a step-cat-brother, Mr. Clarence Garfield and step-dog-sister, Miss Felina. They all played together alot back then. Misty Blue was a chocolate brown seal-point Siamese cat. She was given exellent care and LOTS OF LOVE durin' her lifetime. She never thirst for water, nor went hungry. She was one special cat!! She'd talk with ya and answer ya back. She gave ya great big kisses. She is saddly missed by her mama and papa!! Now, she's playin' once again with her step-cat-brother, Mr. Clarence Garfield. I know they're havin' a blast together up in Animal Heaven!!

*Miss Ethel*

Aug 2008 - June 9, 2009
Miss Ethel was a calico/tabby mix kitten (only ten months old) when she passed this world. End of March 2009, Miss Ethel got injured somehow and was havin' trouble walkin' with her hind legs. Only thing we can think of, a flower stand with houseplant got knocked over downstairs. Never heard it fall. We might have been outside when it happened. Don't know!! That's the same day our Ethel got injured!! Our conclusion was that "somehow", the plant stand must have fallen on Ethel's backside. Buffalo Jim found the plant stand toppled over and cleaned up the mess. Didn't think anything more of it. It was the very next day we noticed Ethel was havin' trouble walkin' and we got a hold of the vet, pronto!! Took her, and the vet gave her a cortisone shot that same day. He said to keep her isolated on one level of our home. Don't let her go up and down the stairway for a while. She did seem to start feelin' better!! There was a time or two she even felt like chasin' Lucy a little. A week went by and we noticed she was not feelin' good again, so we called the vet. She went to vet and he X-rayed her spine. She did have a fractured spine. Couldn't really tell by X-ray, if it was bad or slightly fractured. We asked the vet if she was in alot of pain and should be put down, and he said, "I don't want to do that at this point. Let's bob her tail so it won't be heavy for her" (it was draggin' behind her). She did feel better, but only when the cortisone shots were given every 7-10 days.

The first week of June was the annual Roy Rogers Festival in OH, and we boarded Lucy and Ethel with our vet. We called every other day to ask how they were doin' (this was our first time to board any animal). Ethel wasn't doin' good and they were gavin' her a bath 'bout every two days. We arrived back home late, Monday, June 8, 2009. Buffalo Jim called the vet's office early Tuesday mornin' and the vet wanted to give Ethel a thorough checkup, 'fore we come and got her.

We were so heartbroken over the whole ordeal as we had grown to "love her" SO VERY MUCH and SO QUICKLY!! We prayed many times to our Father in Heaven to heal her body, but it wasn't to be. He had different plans for our little Ethel. When the vet went to check her, the attendent told him she had just passed away a few minutes 'fore he got there. That was June 9, 2009.

Our Ethel was the sweetest little thing!! Felina and Lucy knew somethin' was up and seem to KNOW!! They both grieved for Ethel for quite sometime!! She now has a "brand new body", with no pain, whatsoever!! She's roamin' the the green valleys and hills, that lie this side of the Rainbow Bridge, playin' with other beloved animals we've lost.

Now meet our critter's friends who are waitin' for their masters just this side of the Rainbow Bridge.

Aug 1988 - Jan 2003
Here's one of Felina's pals whose gone on to 'Doggie Heaven'. She met Sher on her first trip to Painted Pony and Music Man's; along with her Mommy and Daddy (Buffalo Gal and Buffalo Jim). That was January 2002. Sher was one of Painty Pony and Music Man's delight. She was one of that 'dynamic duo', sharpei puppies that Music Man and Painted Pony got, back in 1988. Sher was 15½ years when she went to that 'Rainbow Bridge'. She left this earth in January 2003.

Aug 1988 - Mar 2003
Felina also met Shea on that first trip to Painted Pony and Music Man's. Bein' a 'wee' bit smaller than Shea and Sher , Felina got along with them both, just fine! Shea was the other half of Painty Pony and Music Man's delight. He was the remain' one of that 'dynamic duo' that Music Man and Painted Pony loved so much! Shea left this earth in March 2003. He was 15, and he missed his soulmate and pal Sher, so much!! They had grown up side by side together, all those years!

These two 'special babies' are still missed terribly! I know losin' both of them so close together, was heartbreakin' for Painted Pony and Music Man. Sher and Shea were 'their children' for alot of years!!

May Sher and Shea 'romp n stomp' together, forever more!! Bless them!

Sage
Jan 29, 1991 - Aug 18, 2003

Glory
Jan 29, 1991 - Aug 29, 2004

Our buddy Sheila Reiboldt lost her last aussie. Sheila had two adorable "babies" that were litter mates (sisters), born 1-29-91. Sage (the black tri-color on the right) has been waitin' for her sister to join her, since August 18, 2003. Our Blessed Savior sent Glory (on the left) on her last journey to join Sage Sunday evein', August 29, 2004 at 10:00PM. Ah, the joy that shown on their sweet faces as they spied each other! Now they are rompin' and playin' in that lush grassy meadow that lies just this side of the "Rainbow Bridge".

Sage and Glory brought many years of love, companionship and joy to 'their mom', Sheila! Now they are without pain and sickness.

They're awaitin', along with Garfield and Mr. Bear, for Sheila, Jim, and me to join them there, and walk the *Rainbow Bridge* into heaven, together.

Not Known - Oct 3, 2005
Sweet Lady, she belonged to our friends, Shirley & Mike. They all moved back to TEXAS this last spring. Lady, along with her mom & dad had been livin' in Connecticut ever since they got Lady.

Lady have had some health problems for quite some time now and the Lord said it was now time for her to come home. Lady left this earth on October 3, 2005. May she run those great fields of green forever!

Shirley and I have known each other since 1959. I lived in El Paso, TX on the Army post, Fort Bliss, durin' 1959 & 1960.

*Mister Casey*

Not Known - (Sep 17, 2007??)
Mister Casey was a 7 year old white Miniature Poodle. Mister Casey hailed from down Texas way; Sherman was the town. He lived there with his adopted sis, "Miss Girty" and his Mama Shirley.

September 2006, Mr. Casey got out of the garage and got lost. Some believe an older man picked him up from the road, but no one ever called Shirley to let her know anything! We really don't know what happened to him, accept he got out of the garage the day his mama was returnin' from a trip. Somehow, We pray the Lord took Mr. Casey under his wing and looks after him and somewhere, he is still here on this earth. Lord Jesus, please, if Casey is still alive, please watch over him 'til his time left on Earth is done.

2001 - Sep 29, 2007
Gabby The Gabster was world famous over at the Official Roy Rogers & Dale Evans Fans Message Board. He belonged to Brenda & Tom C.; Brenda, is also known as (Lucy) as some call her over there.

He was the cat, the *RR/DE Message Board Family*, helped name six years ago. Yesiree, he had that personality, just like 'his namesake', George "Gabby" Hayes; one of Roy's sidekicks! Ya dawg tootin' he did!

Gabby sadly passed away on 9-29-07 after a tumor near or in his brain was found and lost all sense of knowledge. He only knew his mama and papa. He will be sadly missed by his mama and papa and by many who knew and loved him dearly.
May he rest forever in peace in the arms of our Dear Saviour!! Please watchout for the 'The Gabster' 'til his mama and papa are reunited with him near the "Rainbow Bridge".

*Sunshine*

August 19, 1991 and November 6 1991 - August 17, 2009
It's with deep saddness that I report that Miss Sunshine passed away. She belonged to our pals Jan & John who live across that great big pond and abide in the United Kingdom. Sunshine was black, but when the sunshine shone on her, it looked like she had some gold spots on her.

On 6th November 1989 Sunshine'a papa had to go to a rather large house in a tiny village eight miles away to fit some carpets. This house was in between the Chesterfield Canal and the Main A1 Motorway. The lady of the house had a tomcat and was telling John that this lovely little black kitten kept calling. She wanted to keep it but it was very nervous and her cat did not like an intruder on his territory. She said that one of the men in the village worked at the sandwich factory in Worksop and one of the factory cats had three kittens, which he brought home in order to drown them in the canal, he drowned two of them but this little thing got away, and had survived from a very early age, without its Mum and living in such a hostile environment between the canal which is about 30ft deep, and the main highway, which is terrifically busy with vehicles all day and night. John saw the kitten and fell in love with it. We had lost our previous little Tyger five months previously.

It was my day off so I was at home, he telephoned me and said come and fetch this gorgeous little cat - I said no I did not want another as we had been heartbroken too many times when our previous cats and passed away, I just could not contemplate that again. John was adamant, and said he would bring it in his van when he came home. I could not bear the thoughts of this lovely little thing in Johns' van maybe getting hurt on his tools etc., so I went and fetched her. She was so tiny but sooooo strong!!

She sat on the passenger seat - it was the most beautiful day you could imagine, not like the day after the Bonfire night at all. The previous night had been bitterly cold with temps of -5. The sky was cloudless blue and the sun shone as if it were high summer. It shone on her coat - it was totally black. I just said to her as we were driving home through the country lanes "Mum calls me her Sunshine so I am going to call you Sunshine, because the Sun sure is shining on you".

I took her to the Vets the next day and he confirmed she was a little girl about three months old. She had two birthdays like Royalty, 6th November the day she became our family, and 19th August which was my Aunts birthday and was about the right date for her birth.

She passed away on August 17, 2009, just two days short of her twentith birthday.

"Rainbow Bridge"

"There's a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It is called the Rainbow Bridge because of it's many colors. Just this side of the Rainbow Bridge is a land of meadows, hills, and valleys with lush green grass.

When a beloved pet passes, the pet goes to this place. There is always food and water and warm spring weather. Old and frail animals are made whole. They play all day with each other.

There is only one thing missing. They are not with their special person who loved them on Earth. So, each day, they run and play until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up! The nose twitches! The eyes are staring! And this one suddenly runs from the group!

You have been seen, and when you and your special friend meet, you take him or her into your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again, and you look once more into the eyes of your trusting pet.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated ....."

There is only one outside cat that we know of. She's sorta wild but will get close to ya come feedin' time. Since she is alone outside, she's been peekin' in at the front door, through the side windows in the door. I'll find her peekin' in from the french doors off the dinin' room to the back deck. I honestly feel, sometimes she'd like to come inside and visit with our Lucy, Roy, Dale and Gabby (Roy, Dale and Gabby are littermates that are all spayed and neutered - born July 19, 2009). "Lucy" is the littermate of our dear Ethel who passed away the day after we returned from the 2009 Roy Rogers Festival in Portsmouth, OH. She is spayed also. "Lucy" is thrivin' and healthy as a horse. She'll turn two years old in August 2010. She's quite a pistol, but she's mellowin' out!! They all play and romp together well!!

Our doggy child; Miss Felina Marie turned 14 years old October 3, 2009. She looks like the 'Taco Bell' dog, they use to use, with their ads. She still travels the trail with us to all the western events. She even attended the Roy Rogers-Dale Evans Museum Closin' and sat right on the front row of the Happy Trails Theatre to hear Dusty and "The High Riders" perform their last show together. She's met, mingled, and had her picture taken with many western stars of stage, screen and television. She loves all the attention!!

Below, y'all find photos of 'our critters and their critter friends'.

"Meet Miss Felina"

"Mucho Gracious!" My name is Miss Felina Marie. My mommy Buffalo Gal received me as a birthday present to herself, 14˝ years ago. I was born, Oct 3, 1995. Lisa, a lady Mommy used to worked with; just thought Mommy 'had to have a puppy'! Since Buffalo Gal & Buffalo Jim got hitched, I have 2 lovable parents now. I'm a very spoiled Mexican Chihauhau!! I get 'so jealous' of anyone else, who wants 'any attention' from them! I such a 'happy critter' when I get 'it all'!!

"I Y Lucy"

Meet some of their friends they have met along the trail.

Meet Their Friends

*Meet Miss Peaches*
Want y'all to meet Miss Peaches. She's a sweet fawn and white Mexican Chihuahua who's 9 years old. She belongs to our longtime friends of many years, Betty and Gene Taylor. They live in Lowry City, MO and have lake property on Truman Lake, nine miles east of Lowry City. I had lake property for three years right across from theirs. It was quite a priviledge havin' property close to them.

They are a fun couple to be with as we've traveled to gospel and bluegrass festivals with them. What great times we've had!

They are a wonderful Christian couple who used to travel every fall to southeast Texas for the winter. They were "Winter Texans"! A few years ago they decided to stay in the 'Show Me State' for the winter.

They are two of the sweetest people you'll ever wanna know. I've enjoyed knowin' and lovin' these folks for all these years. Miss Peaches is so lucky to have human parents such as these two!!

*Meet Miss Girty*
Miss Girty is a Yorkie Terrier and is goin' on 7 years old. Miss Girty hails from that great state of "Texas". She lives in Sherman, TX with her mom, Shirley!

Miss Girty was brought to a vet's office after gettin' sick. Found out, she was tryin' to have puppies. The vet called her owners and told them, they had a choice to save her or the puppies. The previous owners told the vet, "we're not payin' for any expenses, just let her die!" Now, how could ANYONE in their right mind, look at her, and say that!! The vet did a 'C section' and the pups were already decayin'. Miss Girty had ALOT of infection inside of her! The vet left her open for 2 days to reduce the infection. After 2 days, the vet had to do a complete hysterectomy on Miss Girty, and she was able to be stitched up then. After 3 weeks, the stitches were taken out. Shirley's cousin, had originally got Miss Girty for his mother. Her mother had gotten a cat in the meantime, so Miss Girty was gonna go to Shirley's cousin's home, except that it didn't work out. Anyway, Miss Girty got a wonderful home with her Mama. Shirley has the adoption papers, and EVERYTHING!!

Shirley is part of my Roy & Dale Extended Family members. Buffalo Jim & I adopted her just like Roy Rogers & Dale Evans did with their kids. I first encountered Shirley at a cowboy gatherin' in Branson, MO back in 1999. Little did I known then, we'd become "Family".

Now isn't Miss Girty "adorable"! How could ANYONE take a look at that sweet face, and sat to the vet, "let her die"!!

*Meet Sheila's Shasta*
Miss Shasta was born March 21, 2005 in California, USA. She's a red merle Australian Shepherd. Her Mama Sheila picked her out from the others 'cause she was such a 'Cutie Pie', and SO SMART! Sheila got her on June 4, 2005. Shasta learned to sit, shake and stay, at only 12 weeks old!!

Shasta celebrated her 4th birthday March 21, 2009. How times flies! She'looks like she's relaxin' in a pretty bed of flowers. Yep, she's still has that sweet smile.

*Meet Pistol*
Pistol is a Miniature Schnauzer. He's 4 years old.

His mama and papa are Dennis and Diane, from Wisconsin. They all are part of my Roy & Dale Extended Family. I first met them at the Roy Rogers Ferstival in 2002 in Portsmouth, OH. Dennis was portrayin' the Lone Ranger as one of the look-a-likes. The "Lone Ranger" gave me a "silver bullet" to remember him by, and to this day, I still have that silver bullet!

More of Pistol's bio is on it's way.

*Meet Zuki*
Miss Zuki is Felina Marie's adopted cousin. They met for the first time in Portsmouth, OH for the annual Roy Rogers Festival in 2007. It's held the first weekend in June each year. Zuki is a Miniature Shu-zitzu. She's goin' on 3 years old. Her mama is my "my big sis" as I call her, Saundra Cox, from Mansfield, OH.

More info 'bout Zuki to come.

Hope y'all enjoyed meetin' our critters and their friends.

Many Happy Trails,
~Buffalo Gal~
