*Meet Chantelle*

Chantelle was born in 1968.

She was such a cutie and a joy!!

Kindergarden through 2nd grade, she and her cousin Mark were mascots for the Pleasant Hope, MO Pirates basketball team.

In 7th grade she became a cheerleader, herself! She was a cheerleader until her senior year, in high school.

Durin' her high school days, she was honored with many a awards! Her freshman year, she was the Pleasant Hope's 'FFA's Barnwarming Queen.' Her sophomore year, she attained the honor of becomin' Pleasant Hope's 'FFA Chapter Sweetheart'. Her junior year, she was inducted into 'The National Honor Society'. Her senior year went on with more awards. She was chosen to be 'Miss Merry Christmas' from Pleasant Hope, MO, USA. She aquired her 'State Farmer's Degree'. She also was chosen, 1st runner up for 'Homecomin' Queen'. At the closin' of her senior year, Chani was given the 'Southwest Missouri State University's (SMSU) Agriculture Scholarship. She started attendeding SMSU, the summer after graduation from high school.

She graduated with a BA degree in 'Animal Science, Agriculture', from SMSU. She graduated with honors and was on the 'Dean's List'. SMSU changed it's name the fall of 2005. It's now called Missouri State University (MSU).

She surely hadn't missed ANY awards that were givin' out!!

She grew up to be a lovely young woman. She must have listened to her mom some, cause Mama is mighty proud of her!

Chani and husband Mike will celebrate their marriage of 13 years, this comin' January 25th. They have two gorgeous little angels; 6 year old Cyndin Nicole and 2 year old Alexa Danielle. Cyndin Nicole was born October 30, 2000. Alexa Danielle, she was born November 25, 2004. See their photos below. They're Grandma & Grandpa's, 'little angels'!! Buffalo Jim and I are so very proud and happy for their family!!


Chantelle was a member of 'The SIFE Team'. (Students In Free Enterprise), in Springfield, MO.

After ten years of dedicated service, she felt it was high time to be a stay at home mom (I think the girls were growin' up way too fast before her very eyes). It's been a while now since her resignation, but I can tell she loves bein' at home and bein' there for her 'angel girls'!

Chantelle enjoys, bein' a mommy, twice over very much! She likes Nascar and #3 was her favorite! She supports Dale Earnhart Jr. now. She loves the art of Drag Racing & she's into collecting anythin' doin' with #3 Dale Earnhart, Holstein cows and some Coca Cola items.

She has become quite a gardener! She planted a sweet little fruit n' vegetable garden last spring (2006). She' has planted trees, shrubs, perrienials that she purchased. I've given her some flowers that go back to when I was a little buckarette, from her grandmother and great grandmother on my side of the family.

Mike is in the 'heatin' & air conditioner' business. He'd rather install 'em in brand new constructions, instead of repairin' a heater or air conditioner. He says, "ya run across some mighty *smelly creatures,* under and 'round houses and buildin's."

They enjoy 'car shows'. They both belong to a car club and Mike shows their '68 Camero, at various car shows. Mike and Chani have won numerous awards with their different cars.

Our little Cyndin's started Pre-School in the Pleasant Hope School System (2005 - 2006 school year) and did an excellent job! But ya know Grandmas and Grandpas don't ever brag! Cyndin started kindergarten this last fall (See her photos and read 'bout it below).

Sweetie Pie Alexa is growin' so fast, and full of vim and vigger. Mama & Daddy says she's a little aunery! Surely not our sweet Alexa!

*Mascot Cousins*

Chani and her cousin Mark, are posing for their 1974-1975 yearbook. They were the 'offical mascots', for the Pleasant Hope Pirates, during the basketball seasons of 1975 - 1977. Chani's cousin Wayne, was a 'starter' for the high school basketball team. Wayne just happens to be Mark's older brother!
